  • If you wanted to come back to the company if any graduate positions became available then Lilly would definitely consider a previous students application and there are quite a few Lilly students from previous years working at head office

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The students organised lots of activities outside of working hours... a lot of these events were also quite spontaneous as well. You quickly become friends and it can be a very good support base if you are living away from home.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Living in the south is quite expensive. Basingstoke is on par with other southern cities and certainly is not London prices. There are ways to make nights cheaper like going out on a Wednesday (student night).

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • There are a few bars and clubs... but it is close to Bournemouth and Southampton and is only a 45 minute train ride to London.

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There is a big leisure park, 2 cinemas, bowling, ice skating, aqua domes. Lilly also had a sports and social club which holds events from comedy nights, boat tours and golf.

    4/5
