The Role
Amazing staff, got stuck in to meaningful work, wasn't just seen as the work experience girl
Being such a small organisation I slotted straight in
Never struggled with anything, there was always someone to give you guidance. Felt truly valued
I was asked how busy I was frequently to ensure that my workload was manageable
I was responsible for all of the statistics for the whole organisation, I ran support groups on my own, I delivered sessions in schools on my own
Was able to apply my degree to the work and gained skills like public speaking and time management which are life skills
The Company
Such a friendly atmosphere, got work done whilst still having fun
I set it up myself with very little assistance from un so I made it what I wanted to be
They put so much trust in me by giving me a lot of responsibility from the outset
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
They want to keep me employed with them so are trying t get funding
The Culture
The other placement students weren't there for as long as I was and only spent very little time in the office so I didn't see them too much
Id say it was averagem but I loved at home so it saved me costs.
Don't really care about nightlife, but there is a decent range of bars and clubs, and if you hit them on student nights you can save a good deal
If I wasn't familiar with the area there would be very little! But as I knew the area I was able to do things I enjoy like cycling
