The Role
Fantastic opportunity to be given a real responsibility on a brand new project that was underway. There was plenty to do and I was given real responsibility to make a difference.
People went out of their way to make sure I was made to feel as if I was part of the company. I was given a run down of the project and I was involved in other areas. Also given tours of the facilities, since it is such a big company this proved a real insight.
Regular meetings to discuss progress. Informative, constructive feedback. Managers had time to sit down and go through it with me.
Not too busy, some days did seem to drag a bit but overall there was plenty to do and something always cropped up.
I was given a deliverable with a requirement that by the customer with a deadline. This made the placement a lot more enjoyable than it maybe otherwise would have been.
Developed competencies and forged relationships that will last for my life.
The Company
Bog standard office environment.
Very well managed and set up.
Given the best opportunity to fufil my potential.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
National Travel
Fantastic company, massive too if you want to move around the business.
The Culture
Nights out organised and had lunch together.
Preston. Says it all.
Read above.
A few opportunities, but as a summer placement student was hard to get too involved.
