    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • I really enjoyed my internship, felt like I had some high responsibilities and if I wanted to; there was always more work available for me.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?

    • The effort demonstrated was clearly picked up by my colleagues and meant a lot to me; by the end of the intern we all had a huge amount of respect for each other.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?

    • My manager was always there, I am surprised how patient he was with me especially at the start as I asked so many questions. Plus a staff member always made sure I was getting a long okay.

    • Depending on the work, it was time intensive but still very enjoyable!

    • I was given a level of control over the project

    • The skills I have picked up during this internship are second to none and I will definitely use them in my future career.

    • The culture is fairly relaxed, it is still a professional environment but people are keen to have a joke and chat.

    • It was well organised, but felt that some events that were set up for us.

    • Great working atmosphere. People were friendly and approachable in the workplace which helped.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • There were a few events on whilst I was in the office, but not as many as expected. I had also hoped there would be intern-specific events, but nothing occurred. However we did go for dinner and drinks on the odd occasion.

    • VERY EXPENSIVE! but we did get discounts in some of the bars that made it better

    • there were so many bars around.
