    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • I mainly assisted the Art and Design teams with any things they needed extra help on. Including animation, UI design, promotional artwork, etc.

    • A lot of my colleagues valued my work very much, and were very grateful when i spent my time to help them out.

    • My supervisors were great and would help me out any time i had a problem if i asked.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

    • In general i had enough work to keep me busy, but not so much that i felt stressed out.

    • For many of my tasks i was given just as much responsibility as the full time employees.

    • The things i learnt at Soho will be immensely valuable to me in the future.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    • It was way more fun to work there than i though an office could be!

    • The internship was set up very well

    • My manager helped me out a lot to find ways in which i could personally expand my skills in areas i was interested in.

    • I would love to go back into the Microsoft company sometime in the future.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • There was in the microsoft intern on the TVP campus, But not so much in the Soho group.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

    • Central London is pretty expensive.

    • It was good but, again, expensive.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?

    • There were opportunities both in the Soho studio and in Microsoft as a whole.
