About You
CTR was exactly what I was lookig for and wanted to get an insight into travel, travel writing and researching while using a foreign language.
It was fun working on a team mostly with young people in their 20's who were from different backgrounds, different nationalities and we had a great deal of support given during our project time.
lots including workshops to help us a complete our online travel guide which was our task,
well so much as I studied media. The project covered so many areas from history, cultural studies, languages, fashion, journalism, research and travel writing. I also gained some credits for 2 of my modules at Uni.
The Company
Excellent, we had a mixture of study and working so was quite interactive and had more of a learning by doing kind of environment.
ummmm....Awesome! People in my team were fun, entertaining and although not exactly easy it was non-stop learning and really challenged me. The experience taught me s much and have some unforgettable memories!
We undertook language classes, workshops which were more or less daily. On top of this we had quite a few team meetings along with problem solving meetings.
Quite a bit. It is a fun environment to work in, meeting new people on a regular basis. Although there were similar tasks each day it duid feel like everday was different with fresh new approaches for tackling tasks.
Quite a bit, although wish I was there a litte longer.
Everything Else
The ctr experience is kind of a mixture of study, work and working on a project in a summer break atmosphere. The project was definitely not easy but for me did not feel like working at all. All members of the team bring so much to the table and all are looking for great working experience, to use a language and have proof of a productive exerience which can possiby be used in the future acting as a stepping stone. The online guide that we produced - all profits were kept by us the team project members so depending on how succesful the guide is during selling there is some kind of reimbursement however this is not the main reason I wanted to get involved and the same is for most others. I also wanted to be involved in order to gain contacts and from doing the project I am now working in Germany working on a temporary contract based in the creative field and doing what I love!
yes definitely mainly during the project activities and visits we made but would say it is all up to the individual, ctr just lays the opportunities out but was up to the other project members how much they got involved with any networking.
same answer- we had set meetings for example in publishing houses and local buisness' - we normall got a tour or brief presentation during project activities and were introduced to members of staff from other organisations.
yes....mainly were axctivities to practise foreign language skills and to meet others in same boat.
Ahhhh Absolutely!!! Although it depends on the person whether they really like learning, jumping a little in the deep end and like to get involved in challenging tasks.
