The Role
Overall a challenging placement that encourages you to make the most of the experience
I was made to feel very welcome by everyone I met, but still maintained a professional relationship with my colleagues
You are encouraged to use your own judgement and initiative most of the time but the support and guidance is there when you need it. You are encouraged to seek your feedback to structure your own development
Very busy most days, rarely bored! Sometimes stressed/panicked with workload but management supported me through this.
Slow starting to begin with but in the end I felt fully in control to 'run the show' confidently!
Placement gave me skills you cannot learn purely though uni. Working in a corporate environment teaches you essentials skills to carry anywhere with you in future careers!
The Company
Everyone very busy, always doing something productive! Friendly environment, everyone approachable for help.
Some tweaks could be made to the initial organisation of the program, but these suggestions have been made to the company during feedback sessions in order for them to improve in the future.
They spend appropriate amounts of time structuring and guiding your development and encourage you to drive your own learning and seek opportunities to progress.
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
I am pleased to be offered a place on te graduate scheme next year!
The Culture
I made some good friends who I could socialise with outside of work
Moderate, not overly expensive. Good value accommodation
Pretty average, but it's the friends that make the night!
Some. I didn't have much time to get involved.
