The Role
I expected not to like Project Management but it was really a good surprise!
Very friendly and pleasant staff, always happy to help and have an informal chat when needed.
Very present, I could ask help to any Project Manager on my team or other teams, they would never say no. Worst they could would be that they're busy and can it wait 15 min.
I was usually very very busy but I put all stars as to me it was interesting and challenging, I never had time to get bored, there was always something to do and it was very dynamic.
Obviously I wasn't given full responsibility but all the responsibility they could give, they gave it.
Project managing skills are transferable skills, you can use them for any life situation: working under pressure with tight deadlines, communication skills, organisational skills, etc.
The Company
Professional but friendly and fun.
They're used to have interns, it was all very organised.
The first few days were for formal training but then it was more of a training on the field (with help of other staff members).
There are a lot of current staff members who started as interns.
The Culture
We go for drinks when there are new starters and we organise team lunches from time to time.
Not particularly expensive but not cheap either.
Didn't have the chance to see it. We just went for drinks from time to time.
A few charity events.
