  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • My placement was very enjoyable, however the work I was set could get monotonous at times.

  • I felt very valued, especially when science and technology leaders valued your opinion.

  • I was given both support by those around me, my line manager and my project manager

  • I had a lot of freedom with only an end of placement deadline, so it depended on how productive I was feeling during the day as to how much I got done.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • It was quiet, but everyone was always willing for a chat and a laugh.

  • During the placement itself was very well organised, however beforehand there was very little communication about where you were based and your project which I found frustrating

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There are lots of apprentices on site who are a similar age to myself. However where we were based (Bedford) offered very little to do. So it was often just drinks.
