The Role
What ever the job or the department, the people are amazing. Very friendly and easy to get along with.
If ever I needed help, I always knew it was at hand.
Tasks vary day to day, depending on problems that arise and so can vary.
If I was able to complete a task, I was able to do it. I was also encouraged to take more responsibility
I learnt a lot of skills especially in communication, but the one that will last is time management. This is something that will help me endlessly.
The Company
I think the office was perfect for me. Quiet enough to work, but interesting enough characters to keep a happy upbeat mood.
It was set up so that I would have ongoing tasks thoughout my placement and if I wanted more responsibilty I could take this on board.
My manager was a good mentor and spent a lot of time helping me where needed. Iwas treated like an empolyee and was given the employee extras other received. I was also able to attend a training course, which is normally given to permenant employees.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Gaining a job within Adidas would be a great achievement.
The Culture
The one downside would be meeting other placement students. This wasn't really organised, but I believe this is due to the variations in the recruitment process. I have met other students / graduates however in a weekly football game.
The north in general is much cheaper than the south
Not in Stockport, but in Manchester (very close by)
