    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • There were times where it was a tiny bit demoralising in the first month or so, but after that had passed I really began to enjoy it.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Support was normally quite regular. It dipped at times due to people having other work to do, but the quality of the support was excellent.

  • At times I didn't have much to do, particularly at the start. But I soon had enough work to be doing. Had a lot of work in the last few weeks trying to tie everything off.

  • Particularly in the first 5 weeks I was given a lot of responsibility due to the nature of the work I was doing.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • It was quite for the most part. People didn't really chat to each other for the majority of the day.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I had two weeks of training, but this was mostly self study with only one face to face session. Other training courses were done online.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The interns in the same business unit as me had a good social scene, but we didn't really talk to that many interns from other units.

  • House I was staying in was £450 per month.
