    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was a fantastic learning opportunity. I was given a wide range of tasks, which increased in complexity as the placement progressed. I was also given the chance to interact with people from a wide range of ares across the company.

  • I left with the impression that the work I'd done was beneficial and added value to the company.

  • Management regularly took time to provide support and guidance

  • There was a constant of work

  • At first not a huge amount, but as time progresses and you prove your competency you're treated like anyone else on the team

  • Having completed the placement I look at all the work I do in university differently

  • The was a friendly atmosphere in the office, and a wide range of social events after work

  • The company was fantastic in sorting out accommodation, with help setting up bank ac, national insurance no etc

  • The company provided training and assistance throughout the placement

  • I was offered a job as soon as I returned to college.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • I didn't know anyone in the city before moving, work provided a great opportunity to meet people. I regularly went out with colleagues and other placement students.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • It was very cheap compared to Dublin, slightly above average for the UK

  • Fantastic nightlife in Edinburgh

  • There are countless sports and social clubs in the company
