    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • 2/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • 5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • 5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I felt bored with too little to do on many occasions, despite asking numerous time for more work to be given. Projects moved at a snail's pace and many of them stagnated during the summer due to a lot of people being or going on holiday. I filled my time by doing training and reading around my projects, but even this failed to fill the time on occasion

    1/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • The tasks I were given required me to take on a moderate amount of responsbility, but that is when I had tasks.

    3/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • 4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Professonial atmosphere, mostly dull. Minor banter, mostly on Fridays.

    1/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Good opportunities for development, webinars were informative. The placing of interns was extremely uneven. I was the only intern in my building

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I wasn't offered any specific courses or training programmes apart from two webinars. The rest of the training was on-the-job and online. I can't say the training investment was particularly great.

    2/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • 1/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I would consider employment here but only on the prospect of a graduate community existing.

    2/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • I wasn't placed in the same building or got to work with any other interns or graduates. My charity team were dispersed around London and the youngest person I worked with was still 10 years older than me. It was difficult to socialise after work

    1/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Commuted every day from another city, socialising prospects were very limited.

    1/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Commuting made this impossible

    1/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • The charity challenge was great, but that was it in terms of activities outside of work. Difficult to actually meet up with people who aren't placed nearby.

    1/5
