  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was a comfortable working atmosphere and developing a good relationship with my colleagues made the experience more enjoyable.

  • Everyone was extremely friendly as well as appreciative of any tasks that I completed for them.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My line manager was really helpful and I recieved positive feedback after completing projects. We also had an informal chat half way through the process to discuss my progress.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Some days were extremely busy whereas others were quiet but obviously that depends on what work needs doing.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Quite a lot, when possible.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • First hand experience is always best. I wouldnt know what it was like to work in a bank if i had never done it so these skills are extremely valuable.

  • Very friendly and light hearted.

  • Quite good.

  • Everyone was always willing to answer any questions or tell us more about their department.

  • I dont know yet, need to wait and see but my manager was happy with my performance.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • We all got on really well and regularly met up and went out. Everyone was really nice and i would like to think i would keep in contact with a few of them.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I was working in the city so it was really expensive. Luckily i live in London anyway so did not have to pay for accomadation. Travel and socialising was very expensive as expected.

  • We went out nearly every week and if not just went for a few drinks after work.

  • Not really.
