The Role
I struggled at first coming new into the organisation and having to learn about M&S as well as the various roles in store. I also struggled to grow as a manager but this became better as my confidence grew and by the half way point I was thoroughly enjoying the placement
extremely valued by colleagues. Involved in management meetings from day one. Involved in all decisions for the department I was working in.
the support and guidance was good and the programme was extremely structured to ensure this.
days varied as the year progressed depending on the operations of the store at any given time.
Was given department accountabilities and also duty manager trained
Skills for life in decision making, communication, commercial acumen and leadership. AAlso developed the M&S business competencies which are transferable.
