  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • People were mostly friendly and I enjoyed the work.

    • People were sometimes too busy with their own work to spend any time explaining things or chatting to me, but that's understandable in a firm like A&O.

    • Great - assigned a trainee buddy who was more attentive and helpful than at other firms

    • Very useful for getting insight of working in a Magic Circle firm.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • Good - almost too structured with loads of organised talks.

    • Great, especially down to the other vac schemers!

    • Lots of effort clearly put in, things like free A&O hoodies were quite nice perks!

    • Very realistic view, no frills attached. Clearly people work extremely hard and often very long hours.

    • Yes - I think this is the only way to really get under the skin of a company

    • Very satisfying amount, it's great that these firms can afford to help you out, especially for those living in London.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • Quite a few social events though no partners or associates were involved, just trainees

    • Yes, loads of sports teams were asking for players while we were there
