  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • The insight was only for a short day but within this day there was lots of useful information and all of the activities were interesting and useful.

    • Made to feel very welcome from the staff at BDO and the other people on the insight day were very friendly.

    • Lots of very useful guidance on how to write a successful application and helpful interview tips.

    • Not relevant, just that the day made me apply for the job.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • Very well structured day with very relevant activities that lasted for just the right amount of time and were varied enough in content.

    • Everyone seemed to be really enjoying their day.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • Gave lots of useful information about the job and how to put forward a good application, but insight was only for a day so could not really invest a huge amount.

    • Had the opportunity to speak with people who currently work at BDO so could talk about their experiences.

    • BDO are obviously very proud of their culture and values and were very keen to put that across to us.

    • Ended up applying for the job and ended up getting it.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

    • Was just an insight into the job and I didn't need to have expenses reimbursed even though if I had needed I could have

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • Had a 'networking lunch' where the was the opportunity to speak to lots of different people.

    • Was relaxed and the people they choose to meet us were interesting and had lots to say.

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?

    • Wasn't huge focus on this although from speaking to people it seems like a very social company where there are lots of social activities going on.

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?

    • I found it very useful and informative and it is definitely worth it if you are unsure about what a job entails and to get a feel for the atmosphere in the office.
