  4. Everyone at Schroders encouraged and helped interns feel like a valuable member of the team.

  7. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  8. Quite busy for the majority of the time but not so busy on certain days. This was to be expected as employees took summer holidays.


  9. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  10. As much as would be expected during an internship.


  11. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  12. A number of training sessions organised by HR helped develop a number of skills.


  13. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  14. I found there to be a nice office environment with a great mix of work and conversation. Made for a good atmosphere


  15. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  16. No faults with Schroders with the organisation of the internship. Organised plenty of events for interns which was enjoyable.


  17. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  18. Each intern is invested in. Training is provided in a number of areas, feedback is given by line-managers and support is given from HR

  20. Subsidised Canteen

    Subsidised/Company Gym

    Company Parties/Events

    Staff Sales/Staff Shop


  21. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  22. Prospects for interns appeared to be quite high amoung the entire group but certainly not a given


  23. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  24. A number of social events were organised with a great turnout from other interns


  25. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  26. Bars in the city are quite expensive for socialising


  27. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  28. Bar scene was quite lively but need to go elsewhere for clubs


  29. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
