  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I was kept busy at all times, lots of opportunities

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I was given the same work as other trainees and everything was explained clearly. I felt like part of the team.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • The first week, all of the interns were in the Birmingham office for training, which was really good. When I moved to the office, I was assigned a manager to give me pastoral care, and I was given a call two weeks in to see how I was getting on.

  • Very busy, did have to do some project work (preparing presentations on my own time)

  • A lot of responsibilty, but I never felt out of my depth.

  • I gained valuable experience and an insight into the company and the career of an auditor.

  • I didn't spend much time in the office, but the time I did spend was good.

  • No complaints.

  • They gave me opportunities to develop my presentation skills etc.

  • I see it as a great career opportunity.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Lots of organised nights out!

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • When I was away, we had 20 pounds a night to spend on food and drinks. I didn't socialise much in the area where the actual office is.

  • We went out in a different area to the area we worked in, because we worked in Gatwick

  • Football tournaments, trips to thorpe park, boat parties, comedy clubs
