  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I throughly enjoyed the work placement much more than I was expecting. It was a very useful experience.

  • Colleagues offered support and recognised good work.

  • There were always people available to answer any questions, everyone was approachable.

  • Days would vary, but for the majority of my time I was quite busy.

  • I was given a lot more responsibility than I was expecting. It's up to the individual as to how much responsibility they want to take on.

  • The skills I have learnt have been invaluable.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The atmosphere was quite relaxed.

  • There were not many events held exclusively for one year placement students, although I am aware that this is changing.

  • There were lots of sessions to attend such as excel training, insolvency knowledge and basic book keeping.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I am going back to Grant Thornton after I graduate, getting a job with them through my placement has relieved a lot of pressure from final year!

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There weren't many placement students, however there were lots of graduates and there were always social events taking place.

  • Very expensive - London!

  • Lots of variety

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There were many sports teams and anyone could be involved even if you weren't very experienced.
