    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I had a really great year at WB Games. I had the chance to work on many exciting titles which made the whole year very varied.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • The team were very welcoming from the first day. When good work was done it would be recognised not only by my line manager but from other members of the team. The team also included the interns in social events outside if work hours.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Everyone was always on hand to help if there were any questions. My line manager was always prepared to sit down and talk through new tasks and processes.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • On some occasions it was really busy but that was just the nature of the department. It was however a great learning curve to be busy.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • As my placement went on I was given more and more responsibility. By the end of my placement I was completing tasks unsupervised from start to finish. The level of responsibility I was given was one of the major pluses of this placement.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I learnt many skills throughout the year. WB also provide training programmes throughout the year that are specifically for interns.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Everyone would chat to each other and there were some laughs between everyone in the team. However when it was very busy the office was quiet and everyone was focused (which is a good thing)

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The placement was very well set up. HR were very good at looking after the interns. My team had many previous interns so were familiar with the process.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • We had many training sessions that were ran by HR. There was also a performance review 3 times in the year

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • National Travel

    Company Parties/Events

    Staff Sales/Staff Shop

    5/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Even though there is no graduate scheme WB keep in contact with all the interns and let you know of suitable roles. There are many past interns working at WB.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There was around 40 interns throughout the company so there were many opportunities to socialise. In the first week many events were organised so everyone could meet up.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • London is very expensive but you just learn to live with it.

    2/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • The office is in central London so everything is really close!

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • We had the opportunity to go to a few film premiers!

    4/5
