    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • I have really enjoyed my internsjip with Deloitte. I have had a great time and have looked forward to going to work each day.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?

    • All colleagues were friendly and welcoming. From my first day to my last day I was included in all conversations and events going on in the office as well as within different groups in the office.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?

    • Each week I was given a manager to report to and who gave me work to me. I had 3 managers and they were all very friendly and easily approachable if I required any help.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

    • There was a lot of work however it was all varied and there was never any time I was sat down wondering what to do because I didn't have any work.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?

    • Before starting the internship I expected to have a lot of work but expected to be doing general office tasks however I feel I was given a greater amount of responsibily than I expected. For example on my last week I was placed out on a client site on my own! It has been brilliant and felt great having the amount of responsibility I have been given.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • Whilst in the next year in will not assist me in my studies however it has confirmed to me that this is the career path I would like to follow. I have developed a vast amount of skills that will come in usefull throughout the next few years.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    • Some parts of the office had a better atmosphere than others however overall there is a really great atmosphere

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?

    • It has been brilliant! From the first day to the last we have had talks, training, presentations, lunches and much more. Everyting was well planned and thought through.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • The company sent us to participate in a two day training course at onestudy which was really useful and interesting.

    • I have loved working with Deloitte and would love to work here again.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • Whilst we didn't go out as a group very often all fellow students were very nice and we got on well. We were all able to chat to each other and went for lunches together occasionally too

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?

    • Yes there were weekly sporting events as well as an event at the zoo and a couple of nights out.
