    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • The people were incredibly welcoming, and we had some fun tasks to do, although there wasn't much legal work to do.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • We were given some genuine work, but we weren't always needed (so we had a project to work on in our spare time)

    4/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • Trainees were available to talk to and I was assigned a supervisor who was incredibly helpful.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I learnt a lot about the corporate world in particular which will be helpful both with my studies and in future interviews.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • There was a schedule for every day - we had numerous talks (mainly on case studies and sectors of the firm) but there was also free time available.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Everyone was really friendly, and there was a good amount of social events (4 in total over the 2 weeks)

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • We were encouraged to ask things about life at the firm, and everyone was willing to share their legal experiences, but there wasn't much actual training.

    4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • Trainees were particularly candid about life at the firm - it felt very genuine, and the work we were given was work akin to a trainee's work.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • Again, the trainees were particularly helpful here, and working at the firm itself was helpful in finding out about it.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • The work we were given was very similar to a trainee's work, and we were given informative talks about the different areas of the firm - all of this was key in helping me to decide my future career path.

    4/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • The money was enough to cover my expenses (for staying in London for 2 weeks) but that was about it.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • We had drinks events and also dinners in which we could meet other employees.

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • We had 4 events in total, all of which were both fun and helpful, but an event at the very end of the scheme would have been nice.

    4/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Mainly from trainees.

    4/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Yes, definitely - it was an enjoyable and informative experience.

    4/5
