Corporate Controllers Review

The insight was amazing. In 3 weeks i was able to really gain an insight , to the different areas in Shell. I gained huge exposure to the corporate environment. There other students were fantastic, we are all from different backgrounds and education disciplines.

The work given to me was important, it will be refered to later on and that makes me feel valued, because I wasnt doing work for no reason but it actually will be used to decisions in the future

Everybody i contacted about informationabout shell was really helpful and willing to have a chat with me about their role in Shell. It was brilliant i was never made to feel as those my questions were silly.

Learnt how to network, met new people,

It had a structure, at times our host buddies didnt really follow it . But there was a stucture in place.

It was relaxed, the work life balance was made clear

It wasnt paid but the invest made was in our whole experience. They paid for lunch and travel. But Shell really invested there time in us. Especially in the last week , we had many talks.

We werent treated like students but actually employees. We were giving actually workhours , having lunch the same as them and given work. It was realistic as it could be. And I am aware that once i get a full time job, it would be similar to this.

A great understanding. I really understood the work culture in Shell. Of course this will vary between companies

I really helped me decide the next few steps thatiwant to persue to start my career.

They paid for our travel , and food , and restaurant trips with our buddies.

I have access to the intranet, where i could look up anybody i like and set up meetings with them

It was an amazing experience,even if you dont want to work for Shell, you still gain an understand on what corporate experience
