  • My team was really fun, and easy to get involved with. Everyone was friendly.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Everyone was pretty supportive of each other, and my manager frequently stopped by to see how I (and everybody else) was doing.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • There tended to be periods of lots and lots of work, followed by periods of not a lot on at all.

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was doing things that mattered and were useful, but I wasn't running the show - that sounds a bit too crazy! If I couldn't do something on time, I don't think the whole company would go bust.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I learned a lot of life skills, like time management and punctuality, and some technical skills too, such as improving my Linux usage and using some different programs.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • My team was fun. People got the work done, but there were quite a few laughs and jokes. Lots and lots of cake too.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • It seemed set up well enough to me.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I did quite a few training courses, and was encouraged to look for areas of training / development I was interested in doing.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    Sports and Social Club

    Above 25 days holiday

    Working from home

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I'll see what life looks like when I've finished uni, but I'd be happy to work there.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes. Also had an organised new starters group.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I don't really know. Average.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • It seemed all-right to me. Not much of a clubber myself.

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Yes, lots. It's pretty easy to get involved.

    4/5
