  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Hugely useful. Being able to practically undertake the theoretical tasks of degree course really helps things make sense. Also highly useful was getting to know the office computer systems.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • A pleasant, friendly but productive atmosphere. Everyone likes a laugh but is also very industrious.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Overall well organised. I had a good balance between office-based work and accompanying on visits out. Perhaps might have been a broader experience if I could have spent a day or two with some of the other relevant departments. I would also suggest the company sorts practical things like car insurance out before placements start as that would be conducive to being able to experience a broader range of what different colleagues get up to.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The company certainly took the time to explain things to me stage by stage so that I could see how projects fit together. I have received a broad, general training in most areas of the department and have undertaken certain repeated tasks which I am now very familair with and use confidently as a skills base. The company has encouraged me to test myself in unfamilair areas. I was also able to follow the progress which was very satisfying- have arranged to return in a number of months to see the final product of some projects.
