  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • Great company and excellent opportunities! You are instantly part of a welcoming, fast paced team and involved in working with exciting products for world renowned brand.

    • Asked for my opinion and perspective in meetings, felt like an integral part of the team.

    • My managers supported me through my own personal objectives as well as fulfilling and developing company competencies as well as subject knowledge and corporate awareness.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

    • Sometimes I felt so busy I didn't know where to start but that is my personality of creating working and being a perfectionist rather than the delegation on work load. I worked on key projects from idea to launch and had excellent support from my managers on prioritisation.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?

    • I was given my daily tasks and the role is administrative support however after a few months I worked on key projects and ran team meetings on project updates. This was solely my responsibility and a proud achievement.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • Still to discover how much of an affect this will have on my dissertation but certainly gained transferable skills for life! Communication, presentation skills, team work and organisation are only some of the skills you pick up on the job and also reinforced by the intern training programme.

    • Good fun, always someone around to ask if you are struggling!

    • Regular meetings and catch ups with your line manger, formal appraisal system and an intern training programme.

    • Stay in touch with recruitment to keep up to date with the latest vacancies but no graduate scheme or bursary for further study.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • London is amazing if you make the effort you make your own social life!

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

    • Very expensive, make your own lunch otherwise this soon adds up. Loads to do in London free and expensive, read Time Out for the best of both!

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?

    • Loads of pubs for after work drinks but this depends on money really. Loads of choice if you have the spend!

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?

    • I did a couple of runs with work but other than that I didn't get involved. I believe there is a company football team and volunteer days.
