The Role
Very enjoyable; Definitely a summer well spent!
Whole team was very welcoming
They were there, regardless of how stupid a question I had.
There was plenty of interesting work to do, and with proper time management, enought time to do it in. A very good insight into the world of work!
I had a self-contained research project on a classified subject
Very transferable skills
The Company
Whilst I was alone in a sealed room for the vast majority of time, there were normally people popping in to check on me!
The organisation was good, but there wasn't very much communication between departments and sub departments of the company
They ran dedicated training courses for internship students.
Company Parties/Events
If I didn't already have a job offer, then I would seriously consider Detica.
The Culture
Very good social scene with other intern students, graduates and the department itself!
I commuted from university.
Apparently very good, though my nights out were usually curtailed by having to commute home.
Plenty of opportunites for extra-work activities.
