  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • A great deal.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • After a slow start I began to feel like a valued member of the team both in and out of the workplace.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I had weekly informal chats with my supervisor and official meetings once every 3 months to discuss my APC and general progress.

  • Things can get a bit manic, but generally I am given a managable workload that ensures I never get bored.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Towards the end of my placement I found myself undertaking more work independently, but under the guidance of a more experienced surveyor.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have now completed an entire year of my APC and believe that the practical skills I have been able to develop will be invaluable to me upon my return to University.

  • A good group of people and plenty of social activities outside of the office.

  • Full graduate induction week and regular emails with graduate HR to catch up

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Sponosored my RICS membership and training, purchased me a passport to the CPD Foundation, bi-weekly internal CPD and paid for me to go on a couple of external training courses.

  • I have a contract to rejoin the company after graduating!

  • Occasional drinks after work.

  • W1 is expensive.

  • Great, but expensive.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Plenty of sports clubs and events. Our department sports day and Surveyor's 7s training in Hyde Park were notable highlights.
