The Role
Working at Warner Bros for a year has been a great experience. I have worked with some amazing people and have learnt so much.
The team I worked with on a daily basis were always willing to help and were very supportive. Over time I also began to feel more valued by wider aspects of the company.
My manager has been amazing throughout the whole internship. She allowed me to take on as little or as much responsibility as I was comfortable with and was a great support throughout.
On an average day I was always kept busy and always had something to do, if my workload was a little light there were a lot of people I could ask for extra work.
I was given the responsibility of running my own digital accounts and also organised a digital education day for the wider company.
A year in industry allowed me to learn skills I couldn't learn anywhere else. I received some great training courses and advice tailored specifically for interns and this year had made me confident I can achieve a good grade when I return to university to finish my degree.
The Company
I worked within the sales team, who are always very chatty, friendly and supportive. I felt comfortable chatting with people, as long as I knew when it was time to work.
There were other interns in different departments I worked with so I never felt disadvantaged. The team I worked with had around 4 interns in previous years so they knew the process well, and the training programmes for interns were very helpful.
The training courses were great, particularly one which taught presentation skills. Before leaving we also had an internship review in which we were talked through what's next, interview skills and how to update our CV. We were also added to a distribution list to be notified if any full time jobs within the company become available once we leave.

I would love to come back and work for Warner Bros
The Culture
There were a lot of interns who I got along with really well, but living in London meant we all lived quite far apart.
The cost of living is very high in London, but you are never stuck for something to do.
The nightlife in London was good, but very expensive! I preferred going to bars as opposed to clubs and it was also quite difficult/pricey to get home after a night out.
Something I may have preferred would have been more after work activities, such as a netball team. There were quite a lot of social occasions, but rarely with departments other than my own.
