The Role
Had an awesome time! Wouldn't have imagined to spend my placement year travelling to one of the most amazing places!
As soon as I arrived I was given a great welcome by the staff members and volunteers! As we lived with each other-I got to know many people
On-going support is always at disposal either by the Director, Comms exec or the volunteer co-ordinators.
I would be doing something different every day throughout the week! But at times plans do not workout as it is Africa! So patience is the key...
Got the opportunity to leader my project-making key decisions throughout the year! The level of responsibility was dependent on how hands-on I want to be...
The Company
I spent a lot of time with the Communications executive learning a great deal about Online Marketing-an area I've never thought about getting into. I also had the chance to spend time with volunteers who come from different business backgrounds-just to get an idea of what I can do potentially in the future

The Culture
Definitely! :D
Things were pretty cheap in the local area! But if you need some of the western delicacy you would need to order it from a neighboring city! A night-out would cost the same as a pint the local!
