  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • A truly enjoyable experience.

    • I was surprised by just how approachable and welcoming everybody was.

    • A great mixture of useful talks providing detailed insight of the firm, and actual trainee-level work. My supervisors always offered guidance.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • The experience is definitely useful for getting to know the city law firm life, especially since you get to experience only one department in depth for two weeks.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • Excellent mixture of learning and hands on working experience.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?

    • There were two very fun socials, and generally a very friendly atmosphere (which does not mean you do not have to work, but that should not be your expectation in the first place...).

    • They spent a lot of time of highly qualified staff on giving us lectures.

    • Very much so, because I was submerged right into the real work and closely observed the lawyers next to me.

    • Nothing beats getting to know the company for two weeks. You may not think so when you enter the company, but the thing that each one has a really different culture is definitely true.

    • I knew I wanted to become a lawyer already, but the scheme definitely convinced me that I would like to work here particularly.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

    • Yes, 500 pounds for two week seems adeqate.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • Yes, organized socials and many talks by employees of different seniority.

    • Great fun, the grad rec team is wonderful!

    • Yes, everybody gets an opportunity to get involved in the CSR, for example.
