    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The work place was enjoyable, espeically if your someone who doesn't like clock watching! The only issue I had was that it wasn't acedemically challenging enough.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Very rarely was there any issues between any members of staff, let alone just for me. Most employees are easy going and fun to work with and therefore valued you being around.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Support and Guidance is there so long as your willing to ask, indepdance and an ability to work from your own judgement is vital in this job.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Completely depends on your branch, I was in an very busy branch and this mean't late nights and lots of overtime.

    2/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Due to completing the management programme at Enterprise I was given the responsibilty to run the branch and you can't say much better than that really.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I feel that any placement is worthwhile in gaining a better understanding of what you want from life, as for this one placement I feel the only skills you can be certain of gaining is time management as everything else is up to you and how much you want out of it.

    3/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Staff don't hang about in Enterprise, be it promotions or leaving and therefore the dynamic in the office is always changing. I've never not wanted to go in due to the people and therefore can't complain

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • There is a great structure to the Enterprise program, so long as you progress and hit the targets it is almost seamless. however certain targets focused on specific areas can mean that you can't progress any further till thats completed and that's a real shame.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I attended alot of training days and felt that they really did want to teach you the best practices for doing your day to day job. Aswell as that Enterprise do have a great system for recording successes and failures and allowing comparisions to be made across branches and therefore as a branch you also recieve targeted feedback.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    Financial Bonus

    Staff Sales/Staff Shop

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • They have offered me a job if I want it which is great

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Due to location differences it was difficult to stay in contact, that said with regular training days every few months you'd always meet up again and it was always positive.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Completely depends on the area that you are in, Enterprise have branches all up and down the UK.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Collegues traveled in from all over so nightlife was almost non-existent due to long hours and long commutes home

    1/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Unless you were willing to organise them there were few company wide activities

    1/5
