    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I enjoyed the insight thoroughly as it provided the learning opportunity I hoped it would. The presentations and projects were informative in improving my understanding of the nature of the work.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • Due to the relatively small number of attendees you were made to be feel valued as a member of a select group of students on the programme - this emphasised the competitive nature of the field

    4/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • They were very friendly and gave professional advice throughout the programme - they were also happy to answer any questions you had and encouraged you to query them. Therefore, giving lots of support

    4/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • It was very educational and informative - you learnt the difference between study and practice, these skills will invariably stay with you in some sense as you build upon them in work and through study

    4/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • The insight was very well structured - lots of activities throughout the programme. We were given handbooks on the first day that detailed our itinerary for the rest of the week.

    4/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • It was fun. Difficult at times, but enjoyable

    4/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • It was a Spring Week - so not a great amount, but there were a few skills sessions that seemed as though they would be very relevant in the future - regardless the whole experience was enlightening

    4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • The presentations from the firm's employee's did not hide the reality behind the demands of the industry - in that it is very competitive and demanding. I was appreciative of their open disclosure

    4/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • Again, their emphasis on how competitive this field was really made it obvious how they wished to recruit the best of the crop of students within the intake - their culture places demands on their workers

    4/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • Very. Once I had taken some time to reflect on all the information I had been given over the past week I am a fair bit more certain about where I would like to work.

    3/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Lot of networking - particularly at meals

    4/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • Social lunches/dinners were used as networking events

    4/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • yes, through conversations whilst networking

    3/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Definitely, I learnt a lot - enjoy the week and try to learn as much as possible about the company, their workers and the peers around you.
