  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The site was quite small so there was a wide variety of tasks on site however there were some very quiet times.

  • Only a few people on site so you got to know them fairly well.

  • As above, easy access to management.

  • Some periods where there wasnt much to do but then some where it was really busy.

  • I was in charge of a number of sections of works.

  • Some skills transferrable to degree, mainly it gives a different perspective from the solely consultancy based degree.

  • Only a few people in there.

  • Mainly site based with some nationwide networking opportunities.

  • Depends on the people on site rather than head office.

  • Moving away from engineering.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Sites are isolated and some are small so there is no chance for interaction with other interns if you are on a small site.

  • Pretty cheap if you find a room to rent.

  • Pretty good.
