The Role
Overall, it was pretty good.
Personally, the people are great. Professionally, not so much; for the year you work on a single project that isn't too important.
Getting help could be slow at times, but well worth the wait.
A single project for the entire internship, so you kind of work at your own pace. Regardless, if there is nothing to whilst waiting for the code to load onto test then you can sit there twiddling your thumbs for a few days.
The projects are often non-important to business success, or just internal tools.
The biggest thing I learned was working with a very large system made of tons of components.
The Company
The guys can be pretty fun
They hire tons of interns, they know what they're doing
If you need help, it's there. They have a conference/forum type thing ever few months for everyone; they invest in everyone equally.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Maybe for some, especially the starting salary that I heard around.
The Culture
There are plenty on interns at Amadeus, all of them are great.
It can be quite expensive, especially being close to London.
If you go into London, it's great. But if you stick around Heathrow there's not a lot to do.
Plenty of sporting clubs for employees
