    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I really enjoyed my job, everyday was a challenge! Was given alot of responsibililes. I got on well with the team and managers which was great. I always had interesting jobs to do and there was never a dull moment.

  • I felt as part of the team, every member of the team is friendly and supportive in every way. They did not look at me as a helpless student, I was a real team member and had actrual responsibilities in the team

  • Management has been really supportive. I was given help when needed. Felt comfortable approaching my manager and asking for help whenever needed.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Have been given many tasks and responsibilities, which keep me busy every day! always got something to do. This was great for my own development and experiance. I believe i got a lot out of this internship because of this.

  • I have been given many responsibilities during my placement. Have been responsible for sending out reports. I was trusted as my managers could see i delivered quality work

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Have managed to learn alot of Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel skills, can use these whilst doing my assignment for final year. This includes v-lookup, h-lookup and pivot tables.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Working atmosphere - everyone is always busy carrying out their own tasks and responsibilities - dealing with adhoc requests, sending out reports, running queries and so on!

  • The set up was fairly good and HR were easy to deal with. I always knew where i was going

  • was given little training. Attended a course. Mostly it was on the job training.

  • Good opportunity for students from Business who are looking for placement - Jobs interesting and good pay - good opportunity to learn new skills and meet new people - staff are always helpful and willing to help at any time!

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes there was good social scene here. Each member of the team was friendly.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Not much! But to keep the cost down i suggest going into a house or flat share.

  • Never went out to clubs!

  • Going out for dinner, birthdays, staff leaving, staff awards!
