    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • yes but it could have been alot more varied and i could have been given more responsibilities

    • i was valued as i did the work they didnt want me to and i was job filling

    • there was plenty of suppot and help from my collegues with plenty of friendly banter and easy access

    • it was usually quiet for the month allowing for quieries to be answered but the first week of each month was the busiest time

    • i was given some responabilities but i wasnt trained very well for them or i help people with there responsabilities which i didnt follow up on

    • it has helped me greatly with my time management skills and allowing me to meet deadlines better

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    • it was very profeshional and quiet most of the time but there were also occasions when people would chat and have a joke

    • the placement was not very well organised and my timetable often changed to suit when people were on leave or if there were vacancies

    • i was sent on internal training and to profeshional accountancy away days

    • it would be very appealing however i would hope it would be better organised and more information would be given to me regarding all aspects of my employment

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • there were no other placement students

    • the cost was rarther cheap but work socials were rare and usually to somewhere more expensive

    • the night life isnt very nice and the area doesnt have a very positive reputation

    • there were a few but only if you knew someone involved with the activity
