    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I thought it was very enjoyable and interactive, and I met very friendly people there.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I felt very valued there as the employees took time and effort to get to know us during networking events, and our group work was looked at by senior members of the firm as well.

    4/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • The recruiters were very friendly and offered a lot of advice and support when needed.

    3/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I think that the skill sessions held such as 'how to dress in business' and 'how to do a pitch' will be extremely useful for me in the future, regardless for which career discipline I wish to go to.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • The insight programme was extremely structured and organised, and I think the latest a session started was 5 minutes late so very punctual as well.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • There were very interesting sessions in which we had to interact with each other such as a trading game and a case study.

    3/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The company held skill sessions to train our communication skills and presentation skills. This really helped me gain confidence.

    4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • There were lots of panel discussion and networking sessions in which we could directly interact with others from a programme similar to ours in the past and see how their careers have progressed since then. I also enjoyed hearing from senior members of the firm about their day to day role and how much mobility they have had in the firm.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • Everyone was extremely friendly and the open culture was evident when networking with members and when they helped us with case studies and tasks.

    4/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • 4/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • The programme was only 3 days but each day there was a different networking opportunity with members from different parts of the firm. I particularly enjoyed the Women's Affinity networking drinks on the top floor where we could meet other women who had followed similar paths to us.

    4/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • It was a little hard to have a one to one interaction sometimes but we were each assigned a mentor who we had direct access through throughout the programme.

    4/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • There were a few people who shared experiences with me of what they did outside work but it was mainly recreational activities.

    3/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • It really helped me in deciding which area of investment banking I was interested in.
