  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • I had another placement engineer at another plant on site, as well as plenty of people to socialise with around the plant.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Nearest city was Chester. Rent quite high compared to Newcastle which I was used to. But not overly expensive like London!

  • Only 2 clubs in Chester at the time, not much choice. restaurant selection good though

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • A chance for some football here and there and some nights out with friends
