The Role
The work was always enjoyable
I was always trusted to carry out my work without the need for supervision
I was always given positive feedback along with constructive criticism in order to improve
I didn't really have any time when I was bored or had nothing to do
I was given meaningful projects which were of significant benefit to the business
I felt re-motivated for my final year at University
The Company
Always a light and cheerful atmosphere
I had clear objectives from the start of the placement and a clear induction programme
I felt that it was not only money, but time invested in my development also
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Healthcare from home
I already have a Graduate job!
The Culture
I had another placement engineer at another plant on site, as well as plenty of people to socialise with around the plant.
Nearest city was Chester. Rent quite high compared to Newcastle which I was used to. But not overly expensive like London!
Only 2 clubs in Chester at the time, not much choice. restaurant selection good though
A chance for some football here and there and some nights out with friends
