    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I found the negotiation and ADR workshops particularly useful and insightful. The social events (visit to the Shard and dinner at a nearby bar) were enjoyable too.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I felt the firm put in a lot of effort into the programme.

    4/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • The guidance we received during the workshops enhanced our learning. For example, the trainees gave suggestions we were unaware of because of our lack of legal experience.

    4/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Speaking to lawyers from the different departments assisted me in getting a better picture as to where my interests lie in.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • 3/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The firm's representatives were mostly very friendly and engaging. They were professional without being too formal.

    4/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I cannot comment much on this since it was only a two day event. However, they did rope in a lot of their lawyers and trainees.

    3/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • The job shadowing was particularly useful as it gave me a better sense of the work atmosphere and work demands.

    4/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • As it was only a two day event, I could not experience first-hand the culture. However, speaking to the firm's representatives did give me a slight idea of the culture.

    2/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • It has at least helped me understand better which specific area of law I am more interested in.

    3/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • The firm paid for all our transportation.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Yes, there were only a few associates and partners, but we did get to speak to a lot of the traines.

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • It was nice that the networking dinner event was at a bar, so it did not feel too overly formal.

    4/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Yes. I asked the trainee I shadowed about it. I understand that they have sport clubs and pro bono opportunities.

    3/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Yes, it was one of the most useful and interesting insights I have been to.

    4/5
