Spring Into Deloitte Review

It was about learning interview techniques and discovering more about the company - it wasn't a struggle, it was a great couple of days finding out about Deloitte and learning useful skills.

We had a meal with some of the people who'd given us talks in between the two days - they were so friendly and chatty and honest about life working at Deloitte. They also kept praising us for our ability to get this far past the entry tests!

People were always on hand to answer questions during the tasks we had to complete, everything was well explained and everyone was happy to help.

The body language talk and interview help will be useful for putting the best impression of myself across later in life! A better understanding of all the areas of the business was good too. Not sure any of it really applies to my degree studies though.

Some talks seemed to overrun a little, though that may have been because of our questions. They did give us a fair few breaks for tea and coffee though, which was much appreciated!

The tasks had time limits on so sometimes we were all just working hard to complete them, but each had interesting elements. The time really flew by!

Bringing Judi James to speak to us about body language was great, and they had people from all areas of the company come to discuss their sections, it felt like they'd given up a fair bit of their time to be with us.

It mainly focussed on life at the Reading office (where we were) and I was aiming for a career elsewhere so it would be different, but they did try to give us an insight into each section of Deloitte as a whole.

As before, mainly focussed on the Reading office, however the meal was great for discussing all the things you can get involved in with Deloitte.

I'm still uncertain, but realised I have probably made the right choices so far. The way it gets you a step closer to a summer internship is fantastic though, as that will be invaluable help.

We were allowed to claim up to £60, which was more than enough to cover my travel.

Yes, we met them during tasks and then at the meal which was fantastic.

There was a lot of wine being passed around - though I don't think anyone had too much!

Seems like there are loads of sports teams, group activities, and the annual meetings in other countries sound amazing!

Yes, it was a great way to see Deloitte and get further up the application chain.
