  • Given a variety tasks to be getting on with for the entire scheme which was challenging but fufilling at the same time.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I was given meaningful tasks to be completed rather than mundane tasks which was rewarding. Also got to know my supervisor and others quite well, so I felt I left with a clear idea of how a trainee would be expected to work at the firm.

    4/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • The supervisor allocated to me was very helpful and seemed to not mind my questioning.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Allowed me to figure out that this is the direction that I want to go in for my career. I especially felt that a smaller firm such as SS provided a great work environment as well.

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • Enough to cover expenses (for me at least)

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Got to meet quite a few trainees who spoke about their experiences during their short time at the firm, as well as some senior personnel.

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • I was told about some community work that was available on a voluntary basis, although I am sure that there are chances to play sports etc.

  • A must if you would like to experience a City law firm from the inside.
