About You
I loved every moment of the Insight Programme. My mentor Luke was extremely helpful, and the team were very welcoming, and took me out on any site visits they were going on. Furthermore, there were multiple talks given from people throughout the company that gave me a deeper understanding of property services.
Everyone that I meant throughout the company and in all departments were extremely friendly, sociable, and keen to help, displaying an interest in me. I was given work to do, of which they hugely appreciated my help.
My mentor Luke, or a member of the team were always in the office so I could very easily ask for help. Directors that we meet through lunches, and grads through networking drinks were keen to offer advice and direction. We were also encouraged to ask questions, or email employees there if we had any queries.
There were lots of opportunities to ask questions to a range of people throughout Savills. Firstly, the departmental talks gave me an insight into what interests me, and what departments I could see myself working in. Advice graduate recruiters meant that I now want to do a dual accredited masters, to ensure maximum flexibility in my future career.
The Company
We had a great itinerary given to us on the first day of the layout of the week and what Savills had planned for us. Every day there was a talk, a networking advent, or an activity planned for us. It meant that we had enough time in the office to find out about our department, but enough time talking to others throughout the business to find out more about the property industry.
Everyone was always very friendly and sociable, a great atmosphere in the office! On three evenings Savills had put on drinks for us to get to know our fellow Insight Scheme students, as well as current employees.
In the limited space of a week, Savills invested greatly in us to ensure that we got an informative and fun week.
It felt as though I was a Savills employee over the week, and could see the atmosphere and working style clearly.
Talking to graduates and directors gave me a good feel of the company. I heard and saw their key values play out.
I was able to attend meeting, consultations, and even travel to Cambridge! I know now that I want to go into Planning as a career.
Everything Else
They were very fair.
We had a lunch where we were able to talk to directors of Savills. There were also drinks one evening for us to meet the Graduates.
There were so many opportunities for networking at the social events Saviils put on. They encouraged you to ask questions.
I found this out through conversations with the graduates.
I could not have wished for a better week, or to find out as much about planning as I did!
