About You
It was great to be able to get stuck in and be able to help the graduates we were put with. It was a great insight of the surveying industry and I learned a lot
The team were fantastic and valued the work I did for them and acknowledged it. It was good to be able to do some of their work as it took some of the workload off them, rather than me being a burden to them.
There was always someone on hand that was happy to help out.
It was well worth taking the time to be in the environment. I found the industry specific advice invaluable. We saw people from all levels at the company, so saw what was needed in 5 years time and 30 years time.
The Company
We had talks from directors and networking opportunities were available throughout the week.
All Savills staff were fantastic, it was a really interesting placement and I never felt out of place.
The team went out of their way to make sure I had something to do, and that I was able to get out of the office and see what the surveyors did day to day. They took a genuine interest in my situation and gave me some really sound advice.
I was with the team all the time. From the working bit, to the social side and lunch times. This gave me a view of the atmosphere at Savills.
I was able to see the company ethos through the different seminars we had. Also I saw the day to day culture in shadowing my graduate.
It cemented my decision to study real estate and try to go on to be an surveyor
Everything Else
I was reimbursed travel. It may have been good to be reimbursed other expenses for the week as I had to stay in London.
We had networking drinks and social time at Lunches.
Really helpful. A little awkward at first, but the staff helped us get into the swing by the end of the week.
RICS sevens and 11 a side football seem to be choice activities for graduates.
Week really well spent.
