    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • It exceeded my anticipations (and my anticipations were high!), everyone was very friendly and was overall a really enjoyable week.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I was given more responsibility than I thought I would, and so being given work to do made me feel valued and that I was making a difference whilst I was there.

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • You get assigned to a mentor, who were all very friendly and supportive. Any questions you have will be answered. If you want to go above your mentor, the graduate management team are also very willing to help.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I thought I learnt more this week than I learn most weeks at university. I made lots of contacts which will be very useful in the future. Like any placement, it's easier to learn about the business once involved in it rather than in lectures.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • Very well structured.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • My department was quite quiet, but that's only due to the nature of the work. Everyone gets on very well.

    4/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They promoted applying to the summer scheme and graduate scheme where this question is more applicable.

    3/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • You followed an employee and the work they, and their colleagues did, so it made it easy to see the day-to-day life. Full-time hours aided this too.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • Savills made a big effort to allow you to see how Savills works as a company and the social side of them.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • There were talks each day on the different departments/jobs within Savills, so you could get a small insight in to each career path you could take with them.

    5/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • Travel expenses were paid but not accommodation.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • There was organised networking drinks and meet-and-greets so plenty of opportunities to mingle with current employees.

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • Very good, drinks were provided so you weren't out of pocket, and high up employees were very approachable.

    5/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Only through talking to my mentor.

    4/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • 100%, I can hardly think of any improvements that could be made to the programme.

    5/5
