About You
The Spring Insight Program was really enjoyable because it gave a great insight into working at Rothschild and gave us a chance to learn an awful lot.
All the staff at Rothschild were extremely friendly and we definitely felt valued even though we were spring interns.
The staff at Rothschild, whether HR or others, were always open to answering questions and helping with anything we were unsure of.
Learnt a lot about investment banking, the culture of Rothschild and got a flavour of what life would be like. This will definitely help me in other internships and to decide what to do in my future career.
The Company
Very well timed and structured.
Friendly and interesting atmosphere.
We took part in work shadowing (4 hours in total), group project work as well as presentations and it was clear that a lot of time and effort had been taken into planning the programme.
During work shadowing (4 hours in total), I got a real idea of what life would be like within Rothschild and the fact that the culture isn't quite what I would have expected, but a lot more friendly. I really got a sense of the family feel as everyone was very willing to help.
Extremely friendly and open culture, not intimidating at all (which is what I expected before hand!). Can really tell that it is a 'family bank'.
Extremely valuable, learnt a lot about the different types of advisory Rothschild are involved in as well as other projects they are involved with.
Everything Else
Got the chance to meet employees during networking lunch, afternoon tea and work shadowing. Also, employees were very open to answering questions even after the networking events, by meeting us if they had time or email.
Very good, staff were very happy to be there and answer questions. At the networking tea, there was a 'speed dating' type thing, which meant we got to speak to a variety of staff from different departments and floors from within Rothschild.
Found out a few activities such as football club and other charity events they get involved in.
Great opportunity! It was really informative as well as the fact that I got to meet lots of new people, learn a lot about the Rothschild culture as well as picked up some technical skills which I did not know about before!
