  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • It was great fun and very useful and I wish it could have lasted longer!

    • Everyone was very helpful and friendly which allowed everyone to settle in quickly.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?

    • Because there were 35 people in the group there was very little one to one guidance other than the interview feedback at the end of the two days. However, they always encouraged everyone to get involved which was great.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • It encouraged us to develop presentation, communication and interview skills which are all useful for university and beyond.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • It was structured around the company service lines and business games to allow insights into each of these. The mock interview sectional the end was also very well structured and useful.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?

    • It was a really jam-packed two days and everybody was so friendly and helpful. The general atmosphere was great!

    • The mock interview at the end of the two days was perhaps the most useful in this respect.

    • There were many opportunities to ask questions about full time roles and everyone was happy to help.

    • There were explanations of what it was like to work there from all levels of employees.

    • Each service line was well explained to help us to decide which one we would rather apply to.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

    • We were reimbursed up to £50 travel expenses.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • Yes, at a meal after the first day.

    • They paid for us to have a meal at our hotel with a variety of people within the company for us to network with which was fantastic.

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?

    • They mentioned societies and clubs such as football teams but did not particularly expand on this. They also have many social activities outside of work,

    • I would recommend this to anyone as, even if you don't want a job with Deloitte, it is a great insight into a professional business environment.
