  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The placement was very structured which provided a great balance between department work, application advice and socialising.

  • The department was quite busy and everyone who gave me work seemed to really appreciate the help.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I had a very attentive supervisor who was keen to involve me with a wide range of interesting work.

  • Although I didn't do that much desk work, I had things to do pretty much all the time.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • About as much as I'd expect for a non-law intern.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The experiences gained will undoubtedly prove to be useful for my legal studies and working life thereafter.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Quite a few people had already left for Christmas, but all the doors were open and everyone who was around was very sociable.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • As a non-law participant, I enjoyed the structure of the placement which was designed to gain a sense of the firm's culture and practice areas as much as day-to-day work.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The placement was only three days which meant that this was not really a possibility.

  • Subsidised Canteen

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The firm organised dinner and drinks events that all the placement students attended.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Expensive - it's the City after all!

  • Some nice bars below CityPoint.

  • Once again, for a three day placement opportunities were limited.
