  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • enjoyed the placement and it presented some tough challenges to overcome

  • Great group of people got on and had a good laugh

  • my mentor was brilliant taught me a lot and gave me help when I needed it

  • very busy at times working on an airport is a different environment you have to be prepared to work hard

  • i was given several packages to manage by myself which gave me a great experience and responsibility

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • the skilled I learned on my placement will be with me for life Morgan Sindall was a great company to work for and my placement on the airport has set me up for any environment in the construction industry

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • the site office generally was a fun place to work, the people made it fun, but as in any office there were days were the mood was tense

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Fairly easy as I am a sponsored student, the student manager from Morgan Sindall sorted out both of my placements and working on a airport was a great placement to have.

  • the company sent me on many course including internal course and leadership development, fire warden training, first aid training and also sent me on the site managers safety training scheme (SMSTS which is an extremely valuable qualification to have,

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Providing I get the grades needed from my university course Morgan Sindall have offered me a minimum 2 year job with them when I graduate

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • as most of my friends were based around London it was easy for us to meet up during my placement. however I was the only placement student on my job.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I was given milage costs as I lived quite far from the job, I had to work this out for myself as it was not stated that i get milage on my placement I was however given a travel allowance but this on just covered the cost of living near my job

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Crawley was not the best for nightlife, but it was only a short commute into London so i cant really complain

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • From a company point of view not many but in the surrounding area there were many gyms and activities that you could undertake
